Thoughts on Battle Royale

Sun Sep 11, 2005, 1:45 PM
I think I would kill.

Of course, that's easy for me to say now, safe at home, sipping my tea staring at my computer screen. It's a completely different feeling when you're holding a SPAS shotgun to the back of your best friend's head. You feel the cold metal against your palms and contemplate what you're about to do. You know you should kill him, you know you have to kill him...

But this is your best friend! You've known him for years! You've joked at lunch, you've cheated on tests with him, you've done everything with him. Would you be able to kill him? To blow his brains out the front of his face and stare at the twitching cadaver? Could you do it? What about your girlfriend, could you kill her? What about your other classmates? Would you kill them, too? Are you so sure that they wouldn't kill you?

Think about it...

And I was like, "What's up dude?" And he was like, "Uhhh, I found your comb." And then I was like, "Shut-Up!" And then he was like, "Yeah, and stuff." And then I was like, "Rock on!"

I thought just about all of your gallery was awesome, but I especially liked "Of Utmost Betrayal" and "What I Hate".

Very dark; very fun.
